Terms of Service

1. Service Description

i18n-os is a SaaS platform that automates the internationalization (i18n) workflow for React and Next.js applications. The service includes:

• A command-line interface (CLI) for extracting, migrating, and validating translations
• AI-powered translation of missing locale keys
• A web dashboard for monitoring translation coverage across projects
• Webhook integrations for CI/CD pipelines
• Adapters for next-intl, react-i18next, i18next, and react-intl

Features available to you depend on your subscription plan. Free tier limitations are described on the Pricing page.

2. Account Terms

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share login credentials or allow multiple people to access a single-seat account. Team plans include the number of seats listed at checkout.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for more than 24 consecutive months.

3. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By entering payment information you authorize i18n-os to charge your payment method on the billing cycle selected (monthly or annual).

All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes imposed on your purchase in your jurisdiction.

Plan limits (projects, locales, API calls, seats) reset at the start of each billing cycle. Overages are not automatically charged — operations that would exceed your plan limits are blocked until the next cycle or until you upgrade.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months except where required by applicable law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use i18n-os to:

• Process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third-party rights
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service
• Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or authentication mechanisms
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission
• Use automated scripts to stress-test or scrape the service

We may throttle or suspend access without notice if usage patterns indicate abuse or threaten the stability of the service for other users.

5. Data & Privacy

Your source strings, locale files, and project metadata are stored securely and used solely to provide the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Translation content submitted to the AI translation feature is sent to our configured AI provider (currently OpenAI or Anthropic) under data processing agreements that prohibit training on your data.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your project data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may terminate your access if you materially breach these terms and fail to cure the breach within 14 days of written notice, or immediately for serious violations such as fraud or illegal activity.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, i18n-OS, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post the updated terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If you disagree with a change, you may cancel your subscription before the new terms take effect.
